Coach Barry Harwick
Harwick is now in his 20th year as the head coach of Men's Track and Cross-Country at Dartmouth. He has led the Big Green to New England titles in both cross-country and track. He has been named the NCAA District 1 Coach of the Year in both track and cross-country.
A Dartmouth alumnus, Harwick competed in two NCAA cross country meets for Dartmouth, served as captain of the track team, and held the school record in the mile run. In 1997, he coached the US Team at the world cross-country championships in Italy.
Coach Ellen O'Neil
O-Neil is in her 9th year as the cross-country coach at Smith College. She assumed the job at Smith after 12 outstanding seasons with the Big Green. At Dartmouth, her cross-country teams qualified for the NCAA's on six occasions.
Also a Dartmouth alumna, O'Neil was an All-Ivy and All-East performer and was the first Dartmouth woman to qualify for the NCAA championships in track. She was a coach for the US team at the world cross-country championships in Ireland in 1999.
